I may write a whole post about this, but here's the summary of the four steps that I did. I was in the same boat, as I stated in this previous comment, but I was able to do a number of steps and got mine working again - both for downloading and for seeding. But as far I know, this week's underlying cause is something else. So I went to qbittorrent's "Advanced settings" page, and updated the network interface field to use the new name. Some years ago, when I had a symptom that qbittorrent wasn't downloading metadata nor seeding, I found that my VPN software had upgraded itself and change the name of the corresponding network interface. So it seems the problem is specific to qbittorrent in some way that doesn't affect BiglyBT. I have another torrent client (BiglyBT) on my PC, and while my Windscribe VPN was turned on, BiglyBT was able to download and then seed the same two popular torrents with no problem. Since two days ago, I had rebooted my PC, so perhaps some pending change took effect - either to the Windows OS and its firewall, or to my Norton or MalwareBytes software. Key features include torrent streaming (called sequential downloading), remote. I was able to torrent with no problem a couple days ago. qBittorrent is the best torrent client available, easily outperforming more popular alternatives like uTorrent. I use qbittorrent 4.3.6 with Windscribe VPN. Download qBittorrent v4.5.2 (multiple AppImage choice) (Additional download options) Checksums and Library versions The AppImage is created on Ubuntu 20.04. I'm in a similar situation - with two popular torrents that I requested, they stay at status "Downloading" and never get the metadata. ![]()
